I JUST WON A BET

When I bet on something, I make sure I win.

Two weeks ago I decided to stop eating rice...and two weeks ago, Mr. Bong "Sam Milby" Aller told me I couldn't survive two weeks without rice. Thus the bet was made. I get a hundred bucks if I could resist rice for two weeks, and I'd give him a hundred bucks if I got tempted.

There was the problem of honesty though. What if I lied to him? Good point, right? So I told him that I will be completely honest with him. After all, it was for my own good. I almost got disqualified when I ate bibingka. But I did not know it was made from sticky rice so it was decided that I could get out of that.

This is Mr. Bong "Sam Milby" Aller. Behind him is me and Judith :)

Today completes my 14 days of abstinence from rice and today I got paid a hundred bucks. (But guess what, I'm not stopping until I actually see myself lose weight. haha)

Today we just made a new bet. We are going to buy a weighing scale. Use that to get my current weight, and use it again after 1 month to check if I'd lose 7lbs.



1 month. 7lbs. another 100 bucks.

Boy am I ready to win this bet again. :)

DRY SPELL

I haven't been very inspired to do anything lately. Whether it was for a storyboard or a blog, I've really lost it. Temporarily, I hope.

Its not a good thing bya. In my line of work, I always have to be creative. I have to be an innovator. I have to always step-up and introduce something new. And its such a hassle when I'm having a dry spell such as this.

I was talking to my friend Kawewina yesterday and she said she was also having a dry spell. She's so into photography when we were in college and she always got really good shots.(She was even president of our Photo Society--to which I was her lucky VP.) Now however, she felt like she's "lost her mojo".

Hmm...how do you get out of a dry spell? Its sad when "talents" just stopped being talents for you huh.

In my case, its not just depressing, its also a hassle. Because if I don't get out of it fast, I am going to make one lousy plug/storyboard/blog entry after another.

I need to be inspired.

Past: Thesis woes, curfews, studying for Theo, passing Mdm. Tabada's class, love life
Present: How to get a personal loan, the current economy, ENGAGEMENTS and marriage, love life (still)

Fashion Sense:

Past: Tshirt, jeans, sneakers, sling bag
Present: More girly, heels, skinny jeans, preppy, shoulder bag

Waistline:

Past: Normal.. (haha)
Present: 1-3 inches wider...haha (except probably for belle and tina!)

Hangout place:

Past: Baseline, Boss, Burger Machine, Angelica's, Brews
Present: IT Park (Plus paying for the bill i so much easier now...haha)

Gadgets:

Past: 3310 cellphones and the like
Present: cellphones from mars...an average of two per 4b

Choice of happy drink:

Past: Redhorse
Present: Mojito, Margarita, San Mig Light

Define HAPPINESS

I just received the best compliment today from my friend Josette (who celebrated her bday last sept. 11---happy bday sette!!!): "Hmmmm....you look fine today. You look HAPPY. Walay gabother nimo karon. Dili ka murag naay problema." (To think I had a ZIT on my lower left cheek! haha)

I don't know if I always looked problematic in the past whenever I saw Josette, but her compliment actually confirmed the fact that I was indeed happy with my life right now and that it actually showed.

No, I am not inlove. I did not get a promotion. My savings is still ZERO. I haven't slimmed down yet. I even came from a very exciting yet stressful 5-day shoot from Dumaguete and Siquijor (yes post about it later). I haven't been getting any sleep because of the frequent insomnia attacks. So why did I look happy despite the humongous pimple I have under my left cheek?

Maybe because I am at peace with my life. Or that there are no complications in it? Maybe because I've learn to trust God more with my life and learned to just throw away all my problems (if there were) to HIM. Maybe because I have finally learned to be contented with what I have.

But whatever it was that Josette saw...I'm just happy that she saw it. Because when she did, I was like..."Bitaw noh, happy man ko."

So what is happiness then?

For me...its CHOOSING to be happy even if there are no actual and tangible reasons to be happy.

Thanks for noticing Sette, because of it, I also noticed too. Weird. (Dapat pajud diay naay lain na makabantay. haha)

Rock a bye baby just kept rocking!

As of 9:30pm tonight, I have been awake for 18 hours straight. Woke up at an unusual time of 3:30am a while ago because I was feeling sooooo thirsty. So I went down, got a glass of water and went up again. Tried to sleep again but I couldn't. So I turned on the light, took a leak,tried to sleep again. Fixed my bed, swept the floor...and tried to sleep again.

But I just couldn't. So I had this weird desire to search for my writing portfolio (clips from our school paper and internship stint at sunstar). I searched my room and almost turned it upside down but I couldn't find it. I was sooo frustrated that I climbed to the upper deck of my bed to try to get a bird's eye view of my room. Still---I couldn't find it.

Before I knew it, my alarm went off. Went down, ate breakfast (which was unusual for me because I never eat breakfast since I'm ALMOST always late.) Bought laundry soap, went back to my room, went to the office and I was the earliest person there. Like 1 hour early! Haha.

SIX shoots (yes I had six freakin shoots today--of ALL the days) and 18 hours later, I am still wide awake. Not feeling a bit sleepy. Just scared. WHAT IS HAPPENING?

By the way--by "shoot" I mean taping for work ok. Not shoot as in maka-bai-high shoot. Haha. Just had to clarify, you might think I was on something illegal.

Nothing illegal. Just ANIONized water. Haha. Which I will blog about later on if I see the results. Been drinking it for 3 days only.

Now I am just floating.



I was sooo energized the whole day pagyud because of the adrenaline rush of SIX shoots. We had to shoot Sir Mike, Sir Johann--both for World Vision Campaign. Then Around Town, then Tara's Ultimate Living, then two Real Life episodes with Andrew Sarmiento and --ahem, Joe Vince Cañizares. Yeah exciting day. WATCH OUT FOR THE EPISODES!!! Only on RCTV Ch. 36 guys! :)

I'm about to end this blog already and I am still not feeling sleepy. Help.
